Installing
- Download the installer for your OS from gamedevbuddy.com/download.
- Run the installer and accept the defaults.
- Launch GameDevBuddy. The first launch will prompt you to sign in or create a free account.
First-run setup
On first launch you'll be asked to:
- Pick a workspace folder. GameDevBuddy stores all your projects' Oracle vaults, Forge data and Hoard libraries inside this folder. A 50 GB+ drive is recommended.
- Choose your modules. Oracle and Nexus are always enabled. Premium modules are gated behind your account tier — toggling them on now means they'll appear in the sidebar even before you have a licence.
- (Optional) Connect Unreal Engine. Point GameDevBuddy at your UE installation if you want to use the Forge → UE bridge or the Hoard → Agora content browser.
You're done. The next page covers creating your first project.
